I am a British designer and developer based in Auckland, NZ. I design high end, content driven digital products.
Have previously worked in the European music industry for 8 years, working across releases for bands such as Tame Impala (Silver Disc), Florence and the Machine, and Hot Chip. The reverse of alternative music was my extensive work with German Tecnho and collaborations with artists such as Modeselektor, Moderat, and labels such as BPitch Control. The quality of my work led to working as a UX consultant with Apple head of production Cupertino (remote).
Moving on from music I started to design and build native IOS apps, with my first release Protein Pow (collaboration), becoming a top 5 food and drink app in US, UK, Canada, and Australia.
After a move to live in Berlin, DE for 6 months, I created a digital IOS publishing platform with my partner which we created and published interactive magazines for 25 publications including Design Anthology, Noble Rot, and The Periodic Journal. We reached downloads in excess of 250,000 across our publications.
In 2015 I moved to New Zealand with my Kiwi partner and started to work as contractors.
I currently love to collaborate with brands and companies to design build, high end website and mobile apps. I am a co-founder in New Zealand's dog sharing platform - DoggieShare, and am currently enrolled in a Treehouse fullstack Javscript tech degree - with the goal of becoming a Unicorn hybrid designer and developer - https://medium.com/@katherinemartinez/the-unicorn-hybrid-designer-developer-5e89607d5fe0
