Resene Mural Masterpieces
I was approached by Kohimarama School to oversee the design and painting of a mural for the Resene Mural Masterpieces Competition. I interviewed the students to compile relevant themes for the mural design for four different age groups. The students came up with ideas about what learning means to them. I then designed the four murals and compiled the material requirements for the project. Together with the PTA of Kohimarama School, the outlines were painted onto the boards. We divided the boards into smaller squares and the parents and students bought a square to paint on the day of the art event. I helped coordinate and assisted at the art event to ensure that everything went according to plan. After the event we tidied up the outlines and filled in some spaces with a second coat of paint and entered the Resene Mural Masterpieces Competition. The project was such a success the School decided to make it an annual event.
