A body of work is presented in the form of an anthology, collecting and documenting various display concepts, findings and experiences.
With an aim to enhance the visual communication of historical information, this project investigates, through both traditional and new media technologies, the best practices in museum artefact display systems. The research also addresses the current perception of graphic design, questioning the whereabouts of current historical information and related resources. Ultimately the study seeks to identify ways Aotearoa’s design history can be consolidated to enhance the general public’s experience of an archive for the benefit of the design industry.
