I've been working with words for almost 15 years, originally as a journalist and more recently as a copywriter, content writer and ghostwriter.
Regardless of the role, I've got a passion for telling other people's stories.
I'm also the New Zealand Editor of The Red Bulletin, Red Bull's lifestyle and adventure sports magazine.
My recent copywriting experience includes branding and print advertisements for an Australian menswear company, Unitec in Auckland, a change management consultancy and a leading New Zealand winery.
Some of the other projects I’ve worked on include:
Rebranding an Australian menswear company. I wrote a brand book that defined the brand values and also worked on point of sale material for stores nationwide.
Writing original copy for the Unitec website and rewriting existing programme overviews and descriptions. Creating copy for two poster campaigns on campus. Sub-editing complex academic articles into short, snappy easy-to-read stories. Liaising with Unitec staff and graphic designers to deliver copy that was consistent with Unitec’s tone of voice and brand.
Writing a mission statement and copy for a bid presentation by Geyser Creative.
Writing a brand story for a NZ wine company.
In the past I've written about BASE jumpers and BMXers, DJs and drifters, businessmen and boxers, musicians and magicians, artists and athletes, sidecar racers and swimmers, cyclists and Croatian folk dancers.
I'm originally from Galway in Ireland and when I'm not writing or listening to music, I'm a keen trail runner.
I'm best known for...
Getting the job done and delivering clean, concise copy.
