It’s a fluid and fast-moving talent market right now. We’re seeing clients cautiously gearing up, wanting their team in the office to build momentum, while keeping a watchful eye on the economy and budget. Meanwhile, full-time candidates are seeking increases to cover their increased day-to-day costs and many are seeking the flexibility of more WFH days. This is the current challenge. As independent recruitment consultants, we get to understand the motivations of candidates, bringing that critical insight to help craft a successful job offer. One thing for sure is that top talent has a choice right now. Companies will need to be organised, ready to interview quickly and move through the recruitment process efficiently if they are to secure the best talent. This includes providing the top-line job offer and following through with the contract soon after. If this period drags – that ideal candidate may have already flown.
