Our agency client is growing rapidly in the PR & Communications space and is looking for a new Account Director with a minimum of seven years' agency experience.

This pivotal opportunity would suit a seasoned professional who wants to spread their wings with a career opportunity where they can bring their core skills and leadership intent. They’ll need confidence and flair to lead relationships with clients both big and small. This role would suit a well-versed Senior Account Manager looking for a step up, both in position and salary. Or even a kiwi ex-pat returning from overseas with experience in an international comms agency.

If this sounds like you, you'll be deadline-driven and with a focus on building long-standing relationships, with media and with clients. Organisation and attention to detail will come naturally, as will an innate ability to devise clever strategic solutions as well as creative and bespoke campaigns that solve business problems.

The breakdown

We are looking for an accomplished gun with: 

  • 7+ years’ working in an agency (comms/pr/advertising)
  • Experience forging longstanding, solid relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Experience managing media, communications and PR projects 

Proven results and experience in… 

  • The disciplines of strategy, creative, media, design, production, PR
  • Senior campaign project management - marshalling teams of internal and external stakeholders
  • Directing above the line campaigns and understand the KPIs involved to structure a through the line campaign in order to achieve great outcomes 
  • Demonstrate a network of established media and Key Opinion Leader and influencer contacts that would relate to our client base
  • Preparing project schedules, time estimates and budgets
  • Ownership of client projects, delivering work on time and within budget
  • Assisting with forecasting monthly revenue streams and growing income streams from existing client bases and managing the profitability of accounts
  • Strategic input into key existing accounts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organised, with an ability to multi-task
  • Experience working on a range of sectors and client types which may include FMCG, Health, Property, Public Sector, IT&T, Financial Services, Professional Services and/or B2B accounts

The reward 

  • Full-time: Salary $100,000 - $120,000 per annum
  • Flexible working opportunities
  • Work from home 3 days a week

Mandatory requirements

  • Must have a relevant tertiary qualification (marketing, comms)
