On behalf of our Central Auckland based agency client, The Pond Recruitment is now looking for a dynamic, go-getting Social Media Coordinator / Digital Account Executive with at least 2 years’ experience to join a new team in an agency punching well above their weight.

This role has three main responsibilities - Social content planning and paid advertising strategy, implementation and reporting and analysis.  

You will be required to work with Media and Account Service teams to maintain and service existing clients, helping build and strengthen relationships, as well as managing those with our publishers and media partners. We expect you to bring a depth of understanding and knowledge in the social and wider digital realm to assist in planning, tracking and delivering successful campaigns for our clients.


This a new position in the team, and will work alongside the existing Head of Digital to nurture the new area in the business. You'll need to be confident in your ideas, and in time will have the opportunity to pitch and sell the agencies social offering to new clients. 

Required Experience:  

  • 2+ years’ experience in social media marketing, digital campaign management or digital media planning
  • Excellent experience in Facebook (Ads Manager), Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, social scheduling and tracking tools 

Responsibilities & Skills:

  • Develop, implement and manage social media and content strategy
  • Identify and target key audience segments
  • Develop data required for media planning
  • Oversee and update schedules of social media campaigns
  • An understanding of Content Planning and Management platforms e.g Spout or Hootsuite
  • Manage social and digital campaigns - working with creative, production and media buying teams
  • Manage reporting & campaign tracking for all clients on an ad-hoc and campaign basis
  • Working with our media implementation partner to create insightful post analysis
  • Competitor and industry reporting - Internal/External relationships
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Relevant marketing/comms/advertising qualification
