Are you a high-level intermediate designer looking for your next big move? Jack of all trades? Looking for flexibility? This 32-hour a week (Tues-Friday) could be for you!

Our client, an established Central Auckland advertising agency, is looking for a part-time Graphic & Digital Designer to join their successful team! This 32-hour a week role encompasses, digital, advertising, and even some moving image, all wrapped up in a highly creative position.

The successful candidate will work alongside designers, developers + thinkers to make work that embraces technology and process. You’ll be managing projects, leading the creative design process. You’ll be a top conceptual thinker, be a wiz on the design tools and collaborate in a strong team environment. This is your chance to work with an innovative team to drive results-oriented strategies, in advertising, media, digital, social, content, branding + design.

The added flexibility of this role would suit someone returning to the workforce with young children, someone with hobbies, or doing part-time study or even just someone who’d love a long weekend – every weekend!!

The breakdown  

We are looking for an accomplished gun with:

  • 5+ years’ working in a design agency/studio
  • Experience developer creative advertising concepts

Proven results and experience in…

  • Strong conceptual ability with interesting fresh ideas
  • Experience working in a design team or creative department
  • Development of creative concepts for brand communications, including advertising, direct marketing, promotions, retail and outdoor
  • Experience with moving image and video editing (AfterEffects)
  • Confident in adhering to and developing brand tone of voice/brand messaging
  • Experience across digital – web design primarily, digital banners
  • Ability to deliver quickly and assist with art working when required
  • Excellent file management
  • Strong design skills across typography, illustration, layout and production
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Proactive, smart with attention to detail
  • Managing a diverse range of projects simultaneously
  • Strong in Adobe Creative Suite – especially Illustrator, Photoshop and Aftereffects

  • Salary $80,000 per annum (pro-rated for a 4-day week)
