Are you passionate and highly skilled in the development and delivery of marketing that cuts through and delivers tangible results? This senior marketing role heads up the team that champions performance for all areas of marketing for this well-known bank!

On behalf of our client, one of the 5 big banks, we’re looking for a Senior Marketing Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will lead a high-performing team that owns performance best practice for all areas of marketing for the business.

You will be focused on developing and delivering performance-led, integrated communication campaigns for the business. While there is a focus on digital media and digital marketing, you’ll also have a deep understanding of the complete marketing landscape – digital, paid performance, direct, retention, and brand.

In this role you will be the liaison between external agencies, internal stakeholders and the wider marketing teams, advising and supporting performance best practice, with a focus on optimisation for enhanced return, measuring, understanding, and reporting on media spending impact against business outcomes.

Ultimately you will know how to skilfully manage a team to drive commercial results by translating the performance marketing strategy into actionable plans. You will champion a performance-led culture, including establishing targets and benchmarks, reporting on success metrics, and delivering strong ROI for all marketing.

The breakdown

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a digital-centered role, either agency or client-side
  • Experience in managing performance-led marketing activities & campaigns
  • Professional services industry experience would be advantageous (Banking, Telco, Energy or Legal)
  • Proven people management experience
  • Project management experience with the development, delivery, and optimisation of integrated marketing communications

Some key responsibilities are:

  • Leading the team responsible for business-wide marketing performance best practice
  • Use data-led insights to develop and deliver strategic, customer-first, integrated customer communications
  • Develop strategic briefs through a customer-first lens
  • Full responsibility for large project budgets and timelines
  • Working collaboratively with key stakeholders to distil customer and product strategies to deliver effective customer communications
  • Managing critical external third-party partners (advertising, media, digital, mail-houses) and holding them accountable
  • Ensuring all projects and communications are consistent with the brand framework
