Part-way through a Healthcare/Life Sciences PHD? Or perhaps you’re stepping back into work? We’re looking for a part-time Medical Content Editor to join a dynamic Healthcare/Life Sciences consultancy with a diverse client list.

This niche role sits in the Healthcare/Life Sciences sector – and acts as an assistant to the Agency’s Medical Content team, owning and driving the process needed to ensure quality assurance of Scientific content/data day-to-day.

This 20 hour a week role will assist in developing scientifically sound technical outputs, to offer to develop therapeutic expertise to clients on the communication of their brands. Together, you foster health literacy and medical accuracy in support of the Medical Content team.

This detail-focused role requires someone who has accuracy at the heart of everything they do, they’ll have second to none spelling and grammar skills and know scientific referencing processes inside and out.  A background in Healthcare/Life Sciences is key and experience with life Sciences approval systems such as Veera Promomats is a massive bonus.  

This role would suit someone finishing a PHD, or other life sciences degree needing a role that allows time freedom, or someone stepping back into the industry in a part-time capacity.

The breakdown

We are looking for a Medical Content Executive with:

  • At least 2+ years’ commercial/technical editing experience
  • Experience or tertiary qualification in Healthcare & Life Sciences

Some key responsibilities are:

  • Commercial Medical Writing & Content editing and proofing
  • Medical Content Collation & Flow
  • Technical medical proof prints – research, referencing, anchoring, and verifying material
  • Assisting with medical content submission process – using Veera approval platform
  • Project Manager medical content projects alongside the Medical Writer and Content Lead

Plus, proven results and experience in…

  • Solid knowledge of medical language and concepts in NZ/AU
  • Deliver high-quality, accurate medical communications
  • Experience researching, referencing, anchoring, and verifying scientific material
  • A very high level of written ability, including editing, proofing, spelling, and grammar
  • Assisting in the creation of many types of educational materials and running different projects (e.g. manuscripts, slide decks, websites, training programs, advisory boards, standalone meetings, symposia, adverts, sales aids, product brochures)
  • Experience working with life Sciences approval systems such as Veera Promomats
  • Keeps up-to-date with data, new references, and developments in the disease or drug area of responsibility, and ensures that all account team members maintain an up-to-date understanding
