This role has been created due to the company’s aggressive growth and acquisition success to date. This is a unique opportunity to join the leadership team of a mature start-up business with a national footprint and APAC ambitions. 

On behalf of our Auckland based client, The Pond Recruitment Agency is now looking for a seasoned, yet progressive Sales Director with at least 10 years’ experience in a sales leadership position. You will take full control and responsibility of an existing 15+ sales team. Reporting to the CEO, you will be part of the senior management team with responsibility for the entire sales strategy and department, achieving all revenue targets and commercial strategy to drive business growth and aggressively increase market share.

The breakdown 

You will be expected to deliver:

  • Financial Results: New & existing revenue growth
  • Roadmap for success: Sales program design and delivery
  • Team management and coaching: Building an elite sales force

Some key responsibilities are:

  • Managing and driving sales targets across the team both client service and business development functions
  • Leading, managing and mentoring the sales team, driving a high performance sales culture
  • Training and educating the team on the core value proposition and sales strategies
  • Involvement and mentoring in strategic sales opportunities with key team members running the deal
  • Develop, implement and execute sales strategies across the outbound, business development, and client service teams
  • Being a core member of the management team and involved in the broader strategic discussions and planning
  • Managing the team to execute on sales and growth targets
  • Analysing sales data and performance and driving a continuous improvement culture across the team
