Here is an opportunity to join a renowned Kiwi-based global software company, lead the technical aspects of feature design product engineering, and change the way the world sees and uses healthcare.

On behalf of our client, The Pond is looking for a proven Senior Software Developer to join a Kiwi-based global software company that delivers and sells healthcare software. They provide software for healthcare systems globally and is the world’s leading provider of health tech and data.

The ideal candidate will be the glue amongst a team of technical developers, senior management, and internal stakeholders while leading a variety of digital products. They will have a breadth and depth of knowledge across the application stack and an in-depth understanding of development tools and techniques that the team may look to for leadership and direction within projects.

We’re looking for someone confident with agile practices and constant change, who has been an experienced and proven Software Developer currently, and is now looking to step up and lead others in a reputable global company.

The breakdown

We are looking for an experienced Software Developer with:

  • 6+ years of experience in programming in relevant technologies in a software engineering environment
  • Managed others and/or led a small team (highly desirable)

Some key experience for the role:

  • Strong experience in Javascript or TypeScript, React, HTML, CSS
  • Experience with Java, Python, and RESTful APIs
  • Comfortable in CMS, specifically Strapi (huge bonus)
  • Writes testable production code and production quality tests that are easy to maintain
  • Confident working with back end and full stack team members to create integrated solutions
  • Strong advocate of automation and understands its impact on product quality and productivity
  • Worked within an Agile environment 
  • Proven experience with leading and managing a team, mentoring others
  • A confident person who can voice their ideas, potential solutions and contribute to healthy discussion
  • Tech-savvy, and motivated by new technologies and passionate about the  digital transformation of the healthcare system

Mandatory requirements

  • Must have a relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
