Are you a digital designer currently specialising in interaction design? Or are you a skilled up UI designer with an understanding of interaction design principals? Whether you're freelancing and now looking for a something more solid, or full-time and looking for a quick change, then we have the perfect 12 month fixed term contract for you.

Our client, one of Auckland's best digital consultancies is looking for someone confident and experienced to cover a set maternity period. They're a fast-growing digital firm, with big corporate and international clients so the role could no doubt extend past the cover period into full-time as an option.

The successful candidate will produce experiences to clients at the highest level, across various digital channels. They'll apply their skills of both visual and interaction design, alongside experience with client engagement to deliver a diverse range of work. 

If you're keen to be involved in a wide variety of work, across a fantastic book of clients then this is the role for you. Start ASAP or 4 weeks notice period is fine.
 

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 2-4 years
  • Agency experience (digital or design)


Required Skills:

  • Strong Digital & Interaction Design skills 
  • Able to assist in the pitching process, and assess client needs 
  • Has strong creative & design process and thinking
  • Lives by detail and design excellence 
  • Organic problem solver
  • Has a strong understanding of the technological aspects of the many digital touch points & interaction mediums
  • Across responsive web design, mobile & app design
  • Technical skills in HTML, CSS, Fireworks, and Adobe CS

Desired Skills:

  • Actively shares their creative vision within the studio team
  • Communicate with clients to ensure effective capture of their brands needs and design constraints
  • Support Account Leads in building senior relationships with clients

Qualifications

  • Tertiary education - Web Design or equivalent (preferred)
