DAWN Magazine

About Project

The issues around the visually impaired community is something that this project was created to help tackle. Based on adventure and exploration, the magazine contains all of the traditional features of a print product but also includes a Braille aspect to bring together two, until now disconnected, audiences. The process of this project involved translating the articles, all of which are original content, into braille. This translation was then laser cut into 0.5mm thick wood which was then run through an old etching press with the paper in order to create the de-bossed braille cells.
