Timely - Product Visualisation Shoot
Concept • Art direction • Photography
Timely is a software company that specialises in appointment booking software. Over the past year, it has been in the process of repositioning itself to cater for the beauty sectors.
In conjunction with the consultation on and creation of Timely’s brand book, I planned, developed and delivered a photoshoot to create a series of imagery that would be prospectively used across the website and other creative assets.
Looking at a multitude of SaaS providers, both within and outside of the hair and beauty space where Timely exists, it was clear to see that they way they demonstrated their software product was generic and undifferentiated. I wanted to communicate that Timely was a SaaS owner, but also the distinct market it operates within. This was achieved through a heavily-stylised colour palette, monotone objects that represented the tools of the trade, and an abstract curation and composition of the scene using textures and hierarchy of elements.
This series of images concentrated on the hair and salon vertical, one of many that Timely operates within. The work was conceived initially as hand sketches, before being more rigorously mocked up in 3D, prior to test shots, prop sourcing, production and post.
