Tap, Pay, Nom Nom
Using Android Pay is so easy even your dog can do it. Or so said the creative brief anyway. We were tasked with creating a digital campaign to launch Android Pay to 4 million Albertans, that showed how easy and fun it can be to pay for everyday things with your mobile phone.
We excitedly came up with a"tap, pay, [verb]" motif, and then checked the Android Pay brand guidelines only to find Google had come up with the same thing. So while we didn't crack an amazing insight, we were at least on the same page as the client. We pitched our idea to use iconic local businesses who were ATB customers in all the ads, making the campaign hyper local, and the clients loved it. So much so, they increased our budget, and with the extra money we produced a 30-second ad to kick off the campaign.
A special shoutout to the Android Pay team at Google who were game to let us have a little fun with their product. And to our composer, whose original song was my dream come true.
