The border is open and we’re starting to welcome global talent to our shores. One of the first international arrivals is ideas writer, Joshua Welton. Josh has worked as an advertising creative in London for the last 6 years. Now he’s found his way to Wellington!
He’s brought his Ba (hons) in Illustration and Ma (hons) in Creative Advertising along with an impressive portfolio of work that showcases his smart thinking and British-born sense of humour.
Josh has premier agency experience, having worked at Karmarama (now Accenture Song), The & Partnership, Wunderman Thompson and Arthur in London.
His lol campaigns for the The Sun and Just Eat are a strategic counter to the thoughtful and visually stunning work produced for Confused.com’s Rugby World Cup sponsorship. Then there’s purposeful, moving work made for Prince’s Trust youth programme.
Metal at the British Arrows and a D&AD New Blood Graphite Pencil award have endorsed the high-quality of creative output. Now Josh is ready to create campaigns and craft copy here in Kiwiland.
Josh revels in pushing the boundaries to create campaigns that stick in the mind. But his talents stretch much further. Josh writes a bit of poetry, makes a bit of music and rides the bike his mate Billy helped him build, a lot. He also likes running, climbing, coffee and wine and reckons he’s not bad in the kitchen. But hey, this isn’t a dating site!
Josh is brimming with ideas and ready to apply his experience here.
