I am a qualified writer with over nine years of experience in magazine writing, copywriting and digital/social media marketing.


In 2010, I returned home from a stint overseas, finally ready to fulfil my lifelong dream of becoming a wrtier. Whilst I'd originally dreamed of being a war correspondent. I cut my teeth writing profile pieces about young families who spent their free time campervan-ing around New Zealand and, as the publishing world moved into the digital media sphere, I was promoted to social and digital media coordinator. It was around this time I started blogging, a move which saw me become the fashion and beauty editor for online teen magazine, 24/7 Girl.


After another stint overseas, during which I wrote mostly poetry and prose, I moved into the world of marketing - predominantly copywriting. I looked after content for Momentum Marketing, wrote for Remix Magazine and was the sole copywriter at Overland Footwear, during this time.


At the start of 2019, I made the shift into freelancing.


These days, you'll find me feature writing, copywriting, sub-editing, proofreading and mum-ing in Auckland's Grey Lynn.

As the only Copywriter (and then Marketing Communications Executive) for Overland, I was an integral part of the Marketing Department and was responsible for every piece of copy produced for the three brands that fall under the Overland umbrella: Merchant 1948, Mi Piaci and Deuce.

Senior Digital Writer / Oct 2017 - Feb 2018 / Remix Magazine

I was
part of thedigital team at Remix, a premium lifestyle magazine. As the Senior Digital Writer, I researched, wrote and posted up to six stories a day, ensuring the Remix website featured a variety of both timely and evergreen articles. I also provided assistance to the publisher of the magazine by creating and facilitating proposals to pitch to key advertisers, as well as looking after subscriptions, accounts and general administration. This was a temporary contract role.

In my role at Momentum I created online content for a variety of clients, across their social and digital media platforms. This was a varied role covering many facets of digital and social media management. My role here finished when the owner of the company decided to cease operation of the business.
