About Project

In New Zealand, our isolation means we often measure success by how frequently and how well we perform on ‘the world’s stage.’ To demonstrate how much closer the world would be using fibre optics or Ultra Fast Broadband, we literally turned ‘the world’s stage’ - Times Square, into a digital art gallery - displaying the work of New Zealand design students - for Chorus, a New Zealand telco / infrastructure company. We live streamed the event back home and filmed it to screen in New Zealand cinemas. At the time the 34 billboard gallery was the largest display of synchronised content in Times Square history. This was stage one of a multi-year campaign and challenged early adopters by asking ‘what would you be, with UFB?’
