If you’ve recently arrived in New Zealand and would quite like to stay, you’re probably thinking about getting some kind of work visa or extending the one you are on. And if this is as far down the immigration road as you’ve got, don’t worry. We now have an expert on hand to take you much further – without having to leave the country.
The Pond has been assisting overseas candidates with work visas since the beginning of 2018 through the help of our new immigration consultant Fiona O' Sullivan.
She’s helped legally secure permanent roles for french packaging designers; account managers from the United Kingdom and supported various other clients with various other immigration-related employment issues along the way.
And now, with the launch of our new Immigration Service, we’ve made the alliance official.
Why use our Visa & Immigration Service?
Basically, to turn what could be a difficult process into a simple one.
English may not be your first language; you may lack confidence in dealing with a government institution directly, or you may just be too overwhelmed by navigating a new country and culture to give the visa process the proper headspace it needs.
There is also a significant financial burden involved with moving countries, which will only be added to by Immigration New Zealand declining your application.
Fiona sees it as her role to lift any visa-related stress off your shoulders. “You may not know which visa best suits your long-term plans and whether you meet the relevant criteria,” she says. “But she can advise and support you through every stage of the process.”
Which isn’t to suggest that this process will be a difficult or long one. “I’ll advise you on the best option for your situation,” Fiona says. “I’ll explain the application requirements and I’ll also interact directly with Immigration New Zealand on your behalf. Once all the documentation is provided, my aim is to have the application lodged within 58 days.”
