Our university client is looking for a talented Senior Campaign Manager to join a successful marketing team of over 30 people. This person could come from a career in either a creative agency or in client-side marketing.

Working under in the Brand & Marketing departments, the Campaign Manager is responsible for delivering traditional marketing campaigns both online and offline on time and on budget. This busy role needs someone with a strong career foundation and a strong ability to project manager campaigns with a fast and agile working style. While also working closely with agency partners – under strong mentorship you’ll drive student acquisition projects forward with new technologies and innovative social media strategies as well as traditional media.

With a large internal team structure, great resources and sharp agency partners, roles at such well-established tertiary organisations like this don’t come around often.

 The breakdown

We are looking for Campaign Manager with:

  • At least 8-years of experience in a marketing or an agency position
  • Multi-channel campaign management experience
  • Strong writing ability
  • Abilities in basic strategy, insights and acquisition marketing

 This role requires proven experience in:

  • Support the Senior Brand Manager in providing leadership, cultural intelligence and insights across all forms of communications.
  • Assist in leading the University direction and marketing/media strategy for various faculties to then deliver best practice and coordinated advertising activities.
  • Co-manage the relationship with the University’s external advertising and media agencies.
  • Work closely with agencies to plan and execute campaigns, ensuring the media selection, creative executions and key messages are aligned with the briefs.
  • Write and develop creative briefs with stakeholders for agencies.
  • Assist the Senior Brand Manager with budget tracking, approving of invoices, raising PO’s, debrief reports and regular reporting to stakeholders.
  • Plan and actively manage suppliers, cultural experts and video, photographers and the in-house design studio.
  • Support the overall digital content strategy with fresh campaign content, including the Waipapa Taumata Rau Strategic Framework.
  • Ensure the use of te reo Māori is representative, accurate and consistent with the appropriate mita.
  • Ensure marketing communications comply with the University’s relevant policies and legislation.
  • Support the Social Media Advisor and contribute to the University YouTube channel.
  • Contribute to social media planning for campaigns.
  • Identify external content (e.g. news articles) to use for advertising campaigns and social media.
  • Collaborate with faculties on cross advertising opportunities.
  • Update and maintain relevant sections of the Staff Intranet and campaign landing pages.
  • Editing and proofing marketing material. 
  • Contribute to copywriting.
