Creative Artworker & Designer / $90k

On behalf of our client, an independent advertising agency in Ponsonby Auckland, we are on the search for a Creative Designer & Artworker to produce exceptional work across their range of clients. 

This hybrid role involves both art working and design (70/30). It has a natural creative scope for the right person, so the ability to question things and give design input is welcomed. They need to be confident in their technical art working ability, have initiative and be passionate about the work they create. 

The successful applicant will report to the Creative Director and work alongside a Senior Art Director within the wider agency team of seven. They must be strong across the full Adobe suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

Attention to detail will ensure success in this position - as is the ability to excel in a bustling agile environment where everyone lends a hand!

The breakdown

We are looking for a senior artworker with:

• Minimum of 8+ years’ of experience on the tools
• Agency studio background preferred
• Exposure to Digital Rich Media

Proven results and experience in:

• Fast and deadline-driven environments
• Layout and template design
• Quality file saving, management and outputting
• Working with established brand guidelines and brands
• Strong and confident communication with the founder and account management teams
• Technically strong (setting up style sheets & specifications)
• Quality assurance, checking proofs and release
• Flawless attention to detail
• Experience in retouching and grading images in Photoshop (desirable)
• File preparation and database systems management
• Organised and a quick methodical worker.

The reward

• Salary $85-90,000 per annum + Kiwi Saver
