On behalf of our client The Pond Recruitment are searching for a talented UX/UI Designer to freelance at a well-established NZ tech company.

You’ll be no stranger to creating intelligent, simple user experiences, guided user journeys, and stunning user interfaces that surprise and delight. You must able to showcase a beautiful and clean aesthetic, design is at the heart of our clients business.

You’ll need a strong understanding of the development process, sharp design thinking, understand best practices concerning UX/UI, and an innate desire to deliver world class solutions through collaboration and insight-led design.

The breakdown

We’re looking for an experienced UI / UX Designer with:

  • A modern, clean and beautiful design aesthetic
  • Awareness of all human centred design best practices – balanced emphasis on UX & UI
  • The ability to ensure your design in insight-led

Some key responsibilities are:

  • Delivering beautiful user digital product experiences in a progressive team environment
  • Developing intelligent design systems, and wireframes
  • Creating seamless user journeys/experiences based on user research and insights
  • An ability to align with the company visual design typography, desktop/mobile UI, colour, layout, iconography and aesthetic when considering UX design and how these elements impact product function.
  • Excellent Figma prototyping skills for internal and external product testing – low-fi and hi-fi
