On behalf of our Auckland-based client, an iconic clothing brand delivering the latest trends, The Pond Recruitment Agency is looking for a talented and passionate Junior Graphic Designer with at least 2 years of working design experience.

Day-to-day you’ll play a part in the designing of graphic art for use on apparel, execute continuous and consistent design of internal briefs for product, apparel, labelling and packaging, interpret new trends, and support the buying team with all design-related activities.

To be successful in this role you’ll be a blend of creative talent and hands-on technical design execution. You’ll be a team player, self-motivated, and energised. The brand is fast-paced, so you will need to be resilient, able to work with a sense of urgency while paying careful attention to detail and do it with a winning attitude.

The breakdown:

We are looking for a Junior Graphic Designer experienced in:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Graphic Design
  • Previous fashion, retail or ecomm industry experience will work in your favour (but not essential)

Some key responsibilities are:

  • Design skills across graphic design, typography, illustration, layout, and production
  • Develop garment and apparel labelling for in-house brands
  • Provide files ready and spec’d for production
  • Research local and international trends
  • Maintain awareness of core product offerings and related product trends.
  • Strong understanding of pre-press and a working knowledge of print production
  • Experience in Illustrator and Photoshop

Mandatory requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in a design-oriented role
