Our Auckland-based client, an award-winning ecommerce agency, is setting itself up for change & growth in 2024 and beyond! They are looking to fill a newly established Head of Growth role, which focuses on new business development, new client partnerships, and overall business growth across NZ and Australia. 

With a decade of success, our client has become a key player in the ecommerce design and development landscape, creating flagship online stores and experiences by combining strong strategy, branding and ecommerce best practice. They create award-winning work for renowned local & international brands. Even more exciting, is the business mission to shift from a service-based model to a comprehensive platform offering SaaS, digital products, memberships, and more. As they expand their commercial arm, they aim to solidify their position as an ecommerce innovator and educator.

We want someone industry proven with high-level commercial and business acumen, able to take the lead and drive business growth with flare and style. The successful applicant will have the energy, ecommerce, and digital product smarts to fit into the business offering, have a clean and verifiable sales track record, and know and enjoy the world of ecommerce.

This person needs to be looking for more than a job. They need to be talking salary, acquisition, commission, and individual growth trajectory in the interview process. You will be a 50/50 blend of Relationship & Partnerships and Strategic Sales & Growth in your approach and willing to cut your own path!

The breakdown  

We are looking for someone who…

  • Has a minimum of 6 years of sales, growth, and business development experience
  • Has industry-relevant experience (Ecommerce, Technology, Advertising, Digital, or Media)
  • Is well-networked and proven in their field

Some key responsibilities are:

  • Review and assess the current business position to identify strengths, opportunities, and areas for improvement
  • Develop and execute growth strategies to attract and convert new clients, focusing on ecommerce websites, supporting SaaS products
  • Implement client retention strategies to grow long-term relationships and maximise customer lifetime value
  • Drive initiatives to expand the commercial arm of the business, including developing partnerships and exploring new market opportunities
  • Collaborate with the managing director and marketing manager on the ideation, development, and launch of innovative digital products and SaaS offerings, then take it to market
  • Track and analyse key performance metrics across all growth initiatives, providing actionable insights to the leadership team on your progress and wins
  • Build and maintain crucial relationships with clients, stakeholders, and contributors to enhance business growth and collaboration
  • Inspire and motivate the team to achieve ambitious growth targets and deliver exceptional results

  • $130k - $140k base + uncapped commission plan (OTE $190k - $200k)
