The Marketing Role

This position is made up of a combination of 360°marketing, CRM, talent administration & media partnership management. This is an established role that is key within The Pond Recruitment business and its future growth plans that require a very confident communicator and a motivated self-starter with strong administration skills, true industry nous, and proven marketing experience.

The ideal person will work closely with a team of talent agents to administer marketing & content strategies, promotions, sponsorships, advertising campaigns, weekly PR, and other initiatives associated with attracting and retaining premium clients, full-time candidates & freelance contractors in the NZ market.

Required Experience 

  • Min 4 years’ relevant experience.
  • Strong grasp of traditional marketing methods.
  • Acquisition expertise and social content marketing know-how.

Day to day responsibilities include:

1. 360° Marketing Activities

  • Oversee the company’s year-long job marketing program
  • Acquisition marketing to top talent nationwide
  • Project management
  • Copywriting
  • Internal collateral
  • Spearhead PR initiatives
  • Manage events & sponsorships

2. CRM & Email Marketing

  • Email marketing programmes
  • Social media content
  • Online media placement
  • Website updates
  • Database management

3. Candidate Administration 

  • Talent retention & acquisition strategy
  • Manage a junior coordinator
  • Identify star prospects through weekly registrations and vetting
  • Research and manage candidate information, portfolios, CV's and building candidate profiles
  • Present & sell The Pond model as the first contact point

4. Media Partnerships

  • Oversee the company’s year-long job advertising program and live media partnerships.

Essential skills

  • Strong interest & knowledge of the marketing, design, creative, digital, development, media and tech industries
  • Strong administration skills
  • Project management experience
  • Proficient with MS Office programs
  • Experience with content management systems
  • Adobe Photoshop & In-Design
  • Familiar with Mac computer systems

The Reward

  • Base Salary $75k - $80k + KiwiSaver
  • Social & industry networking events
  • 4.5 day work weeks, finish 1:30pm Friday
