On behalf of our client, an Auckland-based PR agency, we are looking for a PR contractor to step in and ease the load for the next 8-12 weeks. You’ll be well versed in the progressive world of PR, and be able to hit the ground running – client service, media relations, press releases, media pitches, influencer/agent, and event management. 

This contract opportunity would suit someone who is available now and has a minimum of 30 hours per week availability, more if your schedule allows. You’ll need confidence and flair to lead relationships with clients and stakeholders both big and small. This role would suit a well-versed PR Account Manager who comes from an agency background.

If this sounds like you, you’ll have the writing and strategic smarts, with an ability to get even the trickiest journo’s onside – you’ll be no stranger to building and effectively managing relationships, with media and with clients. Organisation and attention to detail will come naturally, as will an innate ability to devise clever strategic solutions as well as creative and bespoke integrated campaigns that solve business problems.

The breakdown  

We are looking for an accomplished gun with:

  • 4+ years working in PR (agency experience essential)
  • Experience managing media, communications, and PR projects
  • Experience working with lifestyle and consumer goods brands

Proven results and experience in…

  • Senior PR project and client management - marshalling internal and external teams to deliver work on time and within budget
  • Communications and PR strategy contribution to existing marketing & advertising projects
  • High-level client service and stakeholder management
  • Producing strategic communications plans, including written media materials, key messaging, and pitch angles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organised, with an ability to multi-task
  • Experienced working across digital, social, and traditional media channels

The reward

  • Hourly rate $80-$100 per hour (depending on experience)
