Michaela Brchlova

Recruitment Director

Michaela heads up the Corporate Agent Team at The Pond alongside Will and Leighton. She started her career as an Employment lawyer after graduating with a Masters of Law. 

The transition from employment law into recruitment in 2010 came naturally to Michaela as her leading vision is to provide an efficient, relevant and consultative service. She’s a strong believer in treating people as individuals rather than just a name within a company or a name on a CV. 

In her own words: “ My guiding light has always been quality, rather than just quantity. The whole point of engaging our services is to save time and get access to tailored, relevant advice.”

Michaela comes with experience within both a large global recruitment agency as well as heading up Talent Acquisition in-house for  some of New Zealand’s most well known organisations. She’s grown her skills and expertise across many corners of the world as she's lived in five countries - Sweden, USA and UK to name a few. 

Outside of work you’ll find her on the tennis court, travelling the world or looking after puppies as well humans in her volunteering engagements at the SPCA and the Emergency Department at Auckland Hospital.
