Bio
Meet Bertrand.
Bertrand has made New Zealand his home since 2011, bringing his camera with him to build on the work he began by founding the Les Productions du Bout de Ficelle, an organisation that created short films with talented up-and-comers.
As the Producer and Director for Bout de Ficelle, Bertrand refined a wealth of skills that us lucky Kiwis now get to benefit from.
Whether working on TV commercials, online content, documentaries, or movies, Bertrand is a true polymath of film with the skills to see production from start to finish.
Not only can he direct, shoot and edit, but he’s adept at scriptwriting, sound mixing, sound grading and motion graphic design.
Betrand’s story-telling talent is second-to-none.
His ability to weave a convincing and powerful narrative can be seen in his Film Festival work, including Seat at the Table which beautifully intertwines the story of New Zealand and France’s wine histories.
Bertrand also brings this refined perspective to his freelance corporate work. In his 10 years in the industry, he has created ads for ASB, ANZ, Vodafone and SkyCity, and was part of the team that brought Dan Carter to Daikin’s TV campaign.
Bertrand is ready to come on board a production team or gather his own equipment to lead the charge.
