Sculpture Trail Design and Website
About Project
Blockhouse Bay Primary School wanted to showcase the diversity of their community through an art walk around the school. Each class used an enquiry process to investigate how they would show their cultural diversity and inclusiveness through sculpture.
Teachers provided a brief, classes came up with concepts which were presented and voted on. The students tested materials and structures in order to refine their concepts.
I was approached to help make the sculptures accessible to those who may not be able to visit the school, design an identity and signage. We wanted to include technology to make the trail interactive. QR codes were added to signage to allow users to read about each sculptures design and building process.
A group of select students called the Super Sculpture Sidekicks were my clients and we worked together to come up with a logo, website and map. They were instrumental in decision making and gathering content for the website.
