Bio

Meet Jarrid.

Jarrid is a senior Front-End Developer and UX/UI Designer with over 20 years of experience. This powerbank of knowledge leads to incredible digital solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences.

Comfortable in both hands-on and leadership roles, Jarrid has applied his skills to countless public-facing, wide-reaching websites and technical products.

His career begun as an Interaction Designer in a creative agency. As website design demand soared Jarrid started a series of successful fixed-term contracts focusing on web design, UI, CMS, and JavaScript. He then joined Base Two, working with clients like Wellington Airport and Toyota on wireframing and conceptual design.

As a Senior Designer at New Zealand Post, Jarrid once again delivered. He led the design of key digital products, including the responsive redesign of NZ Post, vastly improving user experience across various applications.

In the dynamic and progressive freelance market, Jarrid leverages user analytics and feedback to align digital solutions with client goals and customer’s needs. He’s worked for clients on both sides of the Tasman, including Open Polytechnic, Bendon, Ubco, NorthlandNZ.com. He also held a contract at Datacom, designing an ERP system for local governments.

He’s a technical master of HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript/Typescript, es6 and excels in Shopify development. And when he’s not immersed in the digital world, you’ll find him resetting himself in nature.

With the experience and skill set to deliver results on any digital platform, Jarrid is ready to take on new freelance projects right now.
