Meet Jess.

New Zealand born, with a glass half-full approach to life. I grew up by the coast, which grounds me to the beach and ultimately makes up an important piece of who I am. I have been in Auckland for the past 6 months working as a freelance designer through Portfolio Recruitment and The Pond, building relationships with clients and cultivating my experiences from Europe, which is where I spent the past NZ winter. During this trip, I was exposed to new cultures, art and architecture which was incredible to see as they all vary so much from country to country and massively to what we see in New Zealand. Having lived overseas for 7years with my family during my intermediate years, travel is a big part of who I am. I believe that time was a huge influence in life and travel in general continues to mould me.

I draw my current creative inspiration from light, photography and through some of incredibly creative people I am fortunate enough to surround myself with. Natural tones and simple typography are my muse, although pops of colour and quirky pieces that work in with minimalistic design align more with my personality. I have a developing interest in ceramics as a creative medium. Ultimately, as a designer I am wanting to connect with like-minded people and brands that have a strong standing and passionate purpose behind them. I love working with people who love what they do.
