Bio
Justin is a multi-talented, multimedia creative. He writes, presents, hosts and produces. And on top of all that he’s had 35 books published! No wonder the NZ Herald noted him as ‘One of New Zealand’s highest profile creatives’.
As a content writer and journalist, Justin expertly extracts the topical and relevant portions of any story. He transforms the day-to-day into effective and eloquent content.
As an author he’s written bestsellers you may have read, like Bowling Through India, UK on a G-String, Teed Off in the USA, and Kiwi Speak, which has sold over 30,000 copies. He’s been published through Penguin Random House, Allen & Unwin, and Scholastic among others with his latest book for children titled Nanas With No Manners.
Justin’s creative journey started as a host of NZ music channel Juice TV. His travel bug has inspired many of his books and he’s fronted travel shows around Australasia on Youtube. He’s got a voice for radio too, with his upbeat energy rating really well during his time as a host with The Hits.
Speaking of hits, Justin was a sports columnist for NZ Golf Magazine for fours years. At the same time he worked as TV writer for Flux Media before taking up a role at Newsroom, where his individual stlye stood out.
Justin was the news when he made a website to celebrate businesses that managed to retain staff during the GFC. His site featured on CNN and North and South magazine crowned Justin ‘NZ Businessperson of the Year’ for his efforts.
In 2020 Justin stepped up as a Television Producer for Browns Ink. Here, he wrote and produced series including ‘The Circus Bravo’ and ‘Great Southern Truckers’. In a parallel role as Creative Director at Consegna, Justin offered insights into tech, community, business and life.
His wealth of experience gives him a huge bank to draw on as a writer. He loves to dive deep to unlock a narrative and release creativity, which he’s done directly for clients like Spark, Spotify, My Food Bag, and University of Auckland.
If you need a writer who knows his stuff and always finds an interesting angle, look no further than Justin. You really could write a book about this guy!
