Meet Shelley.

She’s the one responsible for making your mouth water over that KFC bucket. Or those biscuit packets. Or Uppercut chips. Shelley is an experienced Mac operator, with a particular talent for FMCG packaging - making sure everything is the right size and in the right place so it pops the way it should.

In almost 30 years working in agency design teams, she’s worked with big name clients and leading creatives to build out one of the more impressive portfolios you’ll see.

Shelley cut her teeth as a designer, but she was often pulled into other work because people wanted her input. As a result, she grew her skill set into many niche areas, including production, retouching, filing, artwork, file management and more. 

As a mac operator, she doesn’t just design things, she executes them too.

Now, with almost three decades of experience behind her, she’s gone out on her own in the freelance world. People with Shelley’s extensive background don’t often make that leap, which makes her extremely rare and extremely valuable. 

Shelley spent the last 13 years with Redcactus Design, playing a leading role in packaging design for the likes of Goodman Fielder, Frucor Suntory, Griffins, Eta and KFC. She was the most experienced staff member when she left earlier this year, and was known as “half social butterfly, half working bee.”

Shelley can rapidly understand client briefs and deliver an aesthetic that was exactly what you wanted - even if you didn’t even quite know it yourself. Her eye for detail is on a whole nother level, and she’s one of those perfectionists that absolutely won’t stop until something is exactly right.

If all that wasn’t impressive enough, Shelley is a dedicated team leader. When she’s not on the tools, she’s an extremely capable project manager, with considerable experience overseeing delivery of team art work, staying on budget and ensuring the highest standards are met.
