Gen Less & EECA identity
About Project
The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) is a government agency that works to improve the energy efficiency of New Zealand homes and businesses and encourage the uptake of renewable energy. Their Māori name is Te Tari Tiaki Pūngao (The Office that Guards the Energy).
Inspire New Zealand businesses and consumers to live a climate-friendly lifestyle. But it’s more than that. It’s a shift in mindset. A new way of thinking about how we live our lives. It seeks to demonstrate that people can get more out of life by living with less energy – and fewer emissions that harm our climate.
Head & tail designed a clear, clean and pure identity that matches and express EECA’s way of being. Tapping into their mission and vision we use the reduction as our focus point by adding white space working with patterns, and graphical shapes. I hear you thinking ‘why would you use colour at all’ its to create an edge, to promote a lifestyle that is aspirational and hopeful, but not sugar-coated.
EECA’s gift to New Zealand and the world is Gen Less a platform anyone can join, regardless of age.
It unites New Zealand individuals, organizations, businesses and the government, to live and work in more climate-friendly ways. By being in Gen Less, you are choosing to take meaningful, ongoing action to reduce your greenhouse gas emissions from energy use.
Change can be challenging but it is something worth fighting for.
