About Project
These illustrations were commissioned by Auckland Council to support South Titirangi Neighbourhood Network’s (STNN) community engagement. It aims to inform and educate people, considering that members of the audience are at different levels of understanding and engagement about the area that STNN works in.
The goal is to educate these people in contributing to the improvement of their native environment, finding ways to retain trees instead of cutting them down, respecting Kauri Dieback protocols, preventing weeds from becoming established or spreading, and participating in predator control programmes on their property.
Working to a set budget I designed these illustrations so that they could work across a wide range of media and also be easily scalable for posters etc. The various elements can be reused in other illustrations and adapted to the content. This isn't a way I normally would work but it was highly effective in producing the desired outcome.
