I specialise in marketing, branding and events with 10 years’ experience. I take a holistic approach to project and team management; adapting methods to suit clients’ work ethics and developing junior team members while supporting stakeholders. I concentrate on the requirements of those both in and out of the office to ensure projects progress smoothly and benefit from everyones’ key strengths.
Company culture and quality of work regularly go hand in hand, so I enjoy working with teams that strives for the best in both. I originally moved from London to Auckland in January 2019. I’ve since received my NZ passport and Citizenship.
Before moving to New Zealand, I spent three years heading up all major digital projects for a lead branding agency specialising in the legal industry. Such high attention to detail and the necessity for accurate information hierarchy, forced an improved user experience. Learning to work from the customers’ point of view has been key to creating websites that don’t just look pretty but accurately answer the requirements of a company’s audience.
Communications Consultant / Mar 2020 - Present / Tūrama Festival
Auckland, New Zealand
As a freelance event organiser and marketing comms. contractor, I'm working on the rebrand, website, PR and marketing for Tūrama Festival 2020, taking place in October.
Senior Account Manager / Feb 2019 - Present / Monster Valley
Auckland, New Zealand
Monster Valley is a boutique creative agency based in Auckland’s artistic hub of ‘K’ Road’. I worked with the owner, a junior staff member, and creative freelancers, to develop their business, produce high standard content to brief, and organise an experimental arts event with over 900 patrons.
-Profitable business approach: I worked with the founder to develop a two-fold business approach to focus on (a) acquiring retainers with larger clients and (b) offering attainable packages for smaller clients. Retainers provide ongoing streams of communication with clients allowing us to plan content creatively and in alignment of existing brand strategies. The packages for smaller businesses come with feasible price tags, and grouping multiple shoots meant reduced costs (and higher profit) for Monster Valley.
-Event Management: I helped organise 40 artists, stakeholders, event staff and more to execute an arts and music festival attended by over 900 people - including a website build and social media promotion.
-People management: I mentored a junior member of staff to aid her next steps within the company, increase the agency’s social media presence, and introduce a promotion strategy for events. Clients: Tiger Beer, Hallertau Brewery, Harpoon Cold Brew, Quick Brown Fox Coffee Liquor, Go Good, F45 Gyms, The Experiment (arts festival), Black Lagoon (arts event), Taku Honey, Karangahape Road Business Association.
