Design that tells a story
I’m Natalie. I revel in telling unique brand stories through well-considered, beautifully realised design. I love combining craft and creative thinking to help brands share their outlook with their audiences. The moral of the story is, strong ideas make stronger design.
My work for the Motutapu Restoration Trust is a good example. The distinct and striking final design evokes the ancient landform, citing its geology and geography, and cultural past of early Māori settlement to farming, maritime playground and World War 2 defensive position. This work won Bronze in the Small Brand Identity category at the Best Design Awards.
I also completed new ‘visual stories’ for Prezzy Card and Glenfield Mall plus packaging design and brand rollouts for Hubbard’s, Dairy Works, Tasti and other FMCGs.
Inspired language and being able to clearly communicate ideas is also an integral part of the process and an area I’m adept in. I’m happy to take on the responsibility of dealing directly with clients and like to present my own work, when that works.
I'm best known for...
My work on the full rebrand of Prezzy Card, including the logo evolution and identity design, full campaign rollout, corporate communication and art direction.
